We are running a Ground Force
Session to get the club ready for the start
of the season on Saturday April 10 - the
weekend before the first pre-season games of the
season. The aim is to make this into a social
event including an early evening BBQ,
entertainment for the children, bar open etc.
Please put the date in your diaries. If you wish
to volunteer to help with organising, in
particular with respect to running any of the
entertainment, or if you have ideas in making
the day more productive and enjoyable please
contact
Joe
Clune.
This year we have
received a grant from ‘Play sport London’. This
programme provides grant funding to sports clubs and
community groups in order to encourage greater
participation in sport in the build up to the 2012
Olympic and Paralympic Games. The grant means that
we will be able to run the winter nets at no cost to
the colt. We need to ensure that the places are open
to everyone and do not show any discrimination or
favouritism. Everyone must therefore apply using
the criteria as set out on the Play sport website
and once the free of charge spaces are taken we will
not be able to take anyone else. Click

details

We are pleased to announce that the 4th XI
will be playing their home fixtures at Bramley Road,
Southgate, N14 4HL. An agreement has been
reached with the Old Minchendenians Association
whereby Cockfosters C.C. will have the use of the
Minchendenians ground and facilities at Bramley Road
as the "home" venue for the 4th XI for a minimum
period of two years. As part of this agreement
Cockfosters C.C. will be entering a 5th XI into the
Herts League in 2010.
The club has
achieved
ECB Clubmark accreditation,
awarded to clubs that meet criteria
across four areas: Duty of Care and Safeguarding
Children; the Cricket Programme the club offers;
Sports Equity and Ethics; & Club Management.

The club has
received a grant from the Grassroots North West
